I was recently discussing internet security with one of my bookie friends and realised how vulnerable I was with all my passwords and internet safety. Yes I have anti-virus /anti-malware etc but my Logins & passwords were all kept on an excel spreadsheet or written in my diary. So after our discussion, I came home and decided to look into internet security also known as cybersecurity – In the back of my mind I knew I was slack with this but didn't realise how unsecure most of our systems are AND horrifyingly how disastrously wrong it can go very quickly – like literally within seconds!

These days it is a MUST to have both of these at a bare minimum or you’re just inviting trouble.

1.LastPass is great to manage your passwords. This application simplifies the world of passwords – I can now get rid of my dreaded excel spreadsheet system to manage all my passwords – I only need LastPass. It also works on your mobile phone.

2. If you’re using dropbox or google docs (especially if you’re running a business) you need to swap to Sync TODAY. Sync is fully encrypted not just once but twice and it works exactly like dropbox so there’s no re-learning.

3. If you use MYOB, (like me) or QBO & Xero and you haven’t already set up 2 step authentication please do not move until you have – it’s not a nice to have, it’s absolutely essential!
